City of Bones is the first book in the New York Times bestselling The Mortal Instruments series. The story follows teenager Clary Fray, played by Mirror Mirror star Lily Collins, who discovers she is the descendant of a line of Shadowhunters, a secret cadre of half-angel warriors in an ancient battle protecting the world from demons. After the disappearance of her mother, Clary must join a group of Shadowhunters and face a dangerous alternate realm with demons, warlocks, werewolves and more.
The Blue-Haired Demon, Chad’s character in Mortal Instruments, is the first to introduce audiences to the supernatural world in the City of Bones. The attractive and mysterious character unknowingly introduces Clary Fray to the new Shadow World and sets the tone and plot for the story.
